Volunteers Reports

In 2004, we had over 135 volunteers that totaled over 575 hours for the weekend which consisted of community, high school, and college help. That equals to $9500 of in-kind volunteer time we saved if we were to pay someone for that volunteer time. The dollar value of volunteer time is $16.54 per hour according to the 2003 Independent Sector of Giving and Volunteering in the US. The value of volunteer time is based on the average hourly earnings of all nonagricultural workers as determined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In 2003, 135 volunteers contributed more than 740 hours for the weekend of community, high school, and college help. That would equal out to about $12,200.00 we saved if we were to pay someone for that volunteer time. The dollar value of volunteer time is $16.54 per hour according to the 2002 Independent Sector of Giving and Volunteering in the US. The value of volunteer time is based on the average hourly earnings of all nonagricultural workers as determined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

There were 58 certificates made up for those that totaled over 6 hours or more of volunteer time. The highest total of one person who volunteered was a service learning student placed in my program, Project GEM, she totaled 18.75 hours for the weekend. I think these numbers are pretty impressive and it will help the viewers of the web site have a good understanding that we couldn't do all this without the help of everyone here.

In 2002, more than 80 volunteers contributed more than 400 hours of service to help make our wacipi a success.

In 2001, more than 70 volunteers contributed more than 350 hours of service to help make our wacipi a success.

Pidamaya yedo (Thank you indeed)
